Admissions officers at Virginia Commonwealth University consider a student’s GPA a very important academic factor.

Admissions officers at Virginia Commonwealth University consider an applicant’s high school class rank and letters of recommendation, if available.

A high school transcript is the most important document you will submit, and it is your chance to show what you have learned and what kind of student you are.

The GPA (grade point average) is calculated by dividing all your grades by the number of hours they represent.

For example, if it takes four courses at VCU to get a 3.0 GPA in college-level math, each course gets an average grade of B or higher, and so does any other course with an A-minus or better.
