Learning a new language can be a terrific experience. It opens up the world to you and gives you the opportunity to become more knowledgeable about other cultures.

You can also learn languages by simply listening, reading, and writing them with others who speak them fluently.

However, there are some ways in which learning languages can be easier than others, and these methods are very useful.

First, we apply them to how you can learn Korean online. Let us show you.

Learn Korean Online | How-To

You can learn languages in many different ways. You can learn online, and there are many

Websites that offer free courses and lessons to help you get started with your vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and more. Examples: Duolingo, Rosetta Stone, and Memrise.

If they offer, you can also enroll in an iLearn course at your local community college or university.

Many universities offer classes specifically designed for people who are interested in learning English as a second language or French as a third language.

Learn Korean Vocabulary

Learning Korean vocabulary is a critical aspect of language learning. The more you know, the more comfortable you will be in your new home and with all that comes with it.

Learning Korean vocabulary through flashcards can help with this process, but if you’re looking for something more than that,

Then we recommend using spaced repetition systems such as Anki or Memrise, which are available on Android.

These apps allow users to create custom lists of words, which they can review at different intervals.

This method allows the user to build up their knowledge over time until all words are completely memorized by heart.

If you would like some help with learning Korean vocabulary, too, plenty of apps out there will do just that, including one called “LearnKorean,” which has been around since 2010.

It is available on iOS/Android devices, so everyone has access regardless of whether they have an iPhone 6 or Android tablet.

Learn Korean Grammar And Sentence Structure

The first step to learning Korean is to learn the grammar rules. This will help you understand how sentences are formed and how they do not look like English or Japanese.

Informal Korean speech often uses honorifics, which can be added to your sentences to make them sound more formal.

For example, if you’re talking about someone who has a high position in society and you want it known that this person is important,

Then adding -nim (작은) or -nim-eo (작은너) will make your sentence sound more respectful towards them.

It doesn’t mean that they are actually higher than anyone else; it just means they are of an equal rank with respect to others who have no such title attached to their name.

Learn Korean Pronunciation And Accent

Korean pronunciation is a big part of learning Korean. If you’re not pronouncing words correctly, it will be difficult for your brain to learn new ones.

If you want to gain knowledge on how to pronounce Korean letters and words correctly, here are some resources:

  • Learn How To Pronounce The Alphabet In Japanese By Japanese-English Translator & Linguist Kiyoko Miyazawa (PDF)

Routledge Publishing has published this book in English as “Learn How To Pronounce The Alphabet In Japanese.”

It’s one of my favorite books on learning languages because it explains how each letter sounds when said aloud by native speakers worldwide.

The book comes with audio files so that you can hear how each sound should be pronounced properly before reading through them yourself.

Learn Korean Through Your Hobbies

If you enjoy learning a language, then you can use that as your motivation to learn it.

If you like watching movies and TV shows in a certain language, that’s another great way to learn the language.

If books are your thing, reading them in that language is also a great way of learning new words and phrases.

Learn Korean Through Media That You Enjoy

The first step to learning a new language is to surround yourself with the media that you enjoy.

Suppose you like listening to Korean pop music, watching Korean dramas, reading Korean books and magazines, or listening to podcasts in your spare time. In that case, this is an excellent way to increase your language exposure.

The next step would be watching some of these programs or movies on Netflix or Hulu (or Amazon Prime Video), which means that there are many options available at no cost.

You can also find them on YouTube by searching for “Korean TV shows” there are plenty of titles there too.

Learn Korean By Meeting People Who Speak It

If you can’t find a Korean speaker in your area, try meeting people online or through social media.

You will find that many groups on Facebook and other platforms are dedicated to learning Korean. Search for one of these groups and ask if they are looking for new members.

If not, sign up anyway; you never know who might lurk behind your profile’s walls.

If you don’t have access to any native speakers of Korean at all, then it’s time to get creative:

  • Do some research into which universities offer language programs focused on teaching foreign languages in general.
  •  Look up those universities’ websites so that when someone asks where they should enroll in order “to learn English,” they’ll point out this particular program instead.

Learn Korean Numbers

Korean numbers are the basic building blocks of a language that you should learn early, and they are a key part of learning Korean.

There are two number systems you can learn in Korean. They are called the Chinese (Sino-Korean) and the Korean (original Korean) systems.

The Chinese system is structured in a way that you can learn to count to a billion simply by learning less than 20 new words daily; Pretty cool, right?

The Korean learning system might take time to learn, so we recommend starting with the Chinese learning system first.

This system can be used when you first start learning Korean, and you can learn about the Korean system later.

Learn Korean Conjugation

When learning Korean, you will want to know how to use verbs and adjectives. You cannot use the verb in its base form, so you must change the ending to make sense in the sentence.

Korean conjugations teach you the tense and tone of a sentence. For example, take the verb 하다 (hada) in its basic form. Here are some examples of Korean conjugations:

  • 할 거예요 (hal geoyeyo) = I will do
  •  했어요 (haesseoyo) – I did
  • 하다 (hada) – to do
  •  해요 (haeyo) – I do

When you understand the basic conjugations, you will want to know more and improve your vocabulary of Korean verbs.

Learn Korean Honorifics

When learning Korean, you often see two versions of the same words and phrases. Often one version is honorific, and the other is not.

Korean honorifics are an excellent way of speaking in Korean, showing your relationship to the other person, the person you are talking about.

Knowing them when learning Korean is important because you will often hear them.

For example, if you want to talk about your grandfather. Since he is higher in the social hierarchy than you are, you will want to use an honorific with him.

You would need to use separate nouns and different grammar, showing that he is higher up the social hierarchy than you.

To demonstrate, let’s say you’re learning the word for “house.” In Korean, you would normally say 집 (jip) for “house.”

In your grandfather’s case, you would use 댁 (daek) instead of 집 (jip) for a house. It can be when you are talking to him or about him to someone else.

Taking some time to learn Korean honorifics will pay off. You may not need to master them all, but learning a few necessary ones will help.

The lesson has a detailed write-up and a list of common Korean honorifics. Honorifics are good assistance in learning and understanding Korean culture.

If you want to get to an advanced level, be sure to familiarize yourself with them as you learn the language.

Adding them to your Korean learning plan and studying them regularly is best; you will know them when you read or hear about them.
